Apricot Kernel Oil - A Heritage of Kinnaur

Our apricot kernel oil is a celebration of Kinnaur's rich heritage, nurtured in the sun-kissed valleys of the Himalayas. Two main apricot kernel types are found here: the sweet variety, the fruit known locally as Khumani, and the bitter variety known as Chuli. Traditionally, native communities have used these bitter apricot kernels to extract oil for cooking and personal care. Often referred to as wild and divine, these apricot trees flourish naturally, without much human intervention.

Why Kinnaur Apricot Kernel Oil?

The kernels are separated from the apricot fruit and manually cracked. The oil is then extracted using the cold-pressed method to preserve its natural goodness, rich aroma, and silky texture. Apricot kernel oil is brimming with nutrients, including antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamins A & E.

Chuli Oil (Apricot Kernel Oil) produced in Himachal Pradesh has been officially registered under the Geographical Indications (GI) of Goods Act, 1999 by the Government of India — a mark of its authenticity and heritage.
